This custom Overland Park master bathroom & closet remodel started with by relocating the master bath into the 400 square foot space former occupied by the master bedroom. The space was re-framed to accommodate the new footprint, a 200 sq foot master closet and structural reinforcement of the floor in order support the large stand-along soaking tub and minimize deflection along the large floor spans. The one of a kind walk-in shower includes separate his and her’s shower heads in addition to a share-able 24″ central rain soaker shower unit. The built in seated shower bench ensures maximum relaxation while custom lighting and tile finishes on the floor, ceiling, and walls provide a one of a kind elegant presentation. The 24″ x 24″ heat marble tile floors are laid on a diagonal pattern and guarantee warm feet even in the cold of winter. The separate his and her’s vanities started as two matched, antique furniture pieces the homeowner purchased after falling in love with them during a vacation overseas. They were modified to accommodate plumbing and counter-tops all will staying functional.
The one of a kind walk-in closet started with the creation of a separate master suit laundry area including laundry cabinets and a drying rack. Custom built shelving and shoe storage provides a home for everything while the large central island creates exception drawer and counter top space. In ceiling lights supply plenty of lighting while a stand-alone chandelier delivers a stylish, final touch.
